O choro de uma atleta que faz um país inteiro ir às lágrimas. Assim podemos definir a reação da judoca Maria Portela, eliminada pela russa Madina Taimazova nas oitavas de final da categoria até 70kg nas Olimpíadas de Tóquio, em luta realizada na madrugada desta quarta-feira (28).

A brasileira, que sonhava em brigar pelo ouro, acabou recebendo três punições e se despediu dos Jogos chorando bastante. Já a russa encara Elisavet Teltsidou (GRE) nas quartas de final.

"Eu queria muito vencer. Treinei muito e estava muito preparada. Eu ainda não acredito que isso aconteceu. Quase joguei ela algumas vezes. Não deu, infelizmente. Eu me entreguei. Faltou um pouquinho mais. Eu quero agradecer a Deus por ter me ajudado a chegar aqui, assim como a todas as pessoas que acreditaram em mim. Desculpa. Eu sei que tinha que ter brigado, mas eu dei tudo de mim ali em cima. Mas não deu, mais uma vez", destacou Portela, aos prantos, em entrevista ao SporTV.

"Eu não estava nervosa, estava bem consciente. Sabia o que fazer. Nós estudamos muito ela. Tem coisas que a gente não controla", acrescentou a lutadora de 33 anos, que agora pode brigar pela medalha na competição de equipes mistas.
