A cantora Demi Lovato, de 29 anos, pediu para as pessoas pararem de chamar extraterrestres de alienígenas, pois, segundo a famosa, esse é um termo "depreciativo" para ser usado em qualquer situação.

Em entrevista para o site Pedestrian.TV, a famosa, que recentemente lançou o documentário "Unidentified with Demi Lovato", no streaming do Peacock, plataforma não disponível no Brasil, disse acreditar que os seres de outros planetas não são perigosos, pois, caso tivessem um caráter agressivo e belicoso, "nós teríamos desaparecido há muito tempo".

"Realmente acho que, se houvesse algo lá fora que quisesse fazer contato com a gente, [isso] já teria acontecido. Mas acredito que é preciso parar de chamá-los de alienígenas porque esse é um termo depreciativo para qualquer coisa. É por isso que gosto de chamá-los de ETs. [Essa é] um pouco da informação que aprendi", declarou a cantora, que destacou, ainda, sua crença na existência de "civilizações com consciência em outras dimensões".

No documentário "Unidentified with Demi Lovato", a famosa, ao lado da irmã Dallas Lovato e do amigo Matthew Scott Montgomery, tentam, ao longo de alguns episódios, desvendar temas relacionados à vida extraterrestre.

Em determinado momento da série, Demi chega a cantar para tentar estabelecer algum tipo de contato com os extraterrestres.
