A modelo e skatista Brooklinn Khoury, que perdeu o lábio superior e partes do nariz em um ataque de pitbull, mostrou o resultado de sua primeira cirurgia reparadora — que custou cerca de US$ 400.000 (cerca de R$ 2,2 milhões).

Em vídeo publicado no YouTube, a jovem de 22 anos contou não se importa em mostrar seu processo de recuperação na internet, mesmo que as imagens sejam impressionantes.

Brooklinn ainda explicou que foi feita uma incisão no seu pescoço para conectar o nervo tirado do braço ao tecido colocado no lugar dos lábios. O nervo, o tecido e a pele não foram rejeitados e a cirurgia não causou danos.

Ela finalizou o vídeo dizendo que ainda ará por outras cirurgias, e que o processo demanda paciência.

Estou muito grata por ter saído [do hospital], estou feliz por estar me curando, estou tentando ficar animada para os próximos estágios das cirurgias. Estou apenas aceitando dia após dia.
